Postage inside Spain
Two to four working days, free over €45. The rest of the EU is €7.50 and five to eight days. Orders in before 14:00 on a weekday leave the same afternoon.
Sizes keyed to EU shoe sizes, postage prices in euros, a sixty-day return window and a free darn. If the answer is not on this page, the workshop reads its email every morning before the machines go on.
Two to four working days, free over €45. The rest of the EU is €7.50 and five to eight days. Orders in before 14:00 on a weekday leave the same afternoon.
Worn or unworn, no form and no reason required. The paid return label is already in the envelope. Refund on the original card within five working days of the parcel arriving.
A hole in the heel is not the end of a sock. Post the pair back with a note and we will close it in the matching yarn, free, for as long as that colourway is in the run.
Pick the tab for the length you want. Every band is listed by EU shoe size, with the flat length measured unstretched from toe to heel.
On the line between two bands, take the larger one. Everything loses about a centimetre of cuff after the first wash and then stops moving.
€3.90 anywhere in Spain, two to four working days, and free on orders over €45. €7.50 to the rest of the EU, five to eight days. Anything ordered before 14:00 on a weekday is posted that afternoon; anything after goes the next working morning.
Put the pair back in the envelope with the paid label that came in it and post it. You have sixty days, the socks can have been worn, and there is no form. Say in the note whether you want the money back or the next size up, and we will do that instead of asking.
The larger one, every time. A sock that is slightly long settles into the shoe within an hour; one that is slightly short pulls the toe seam across the joint and you will notice it all day. The cuff shortens about a centimetre after the first wash and then stops.
Thirty degrees, inside out, with the colours, and no tumble dryer. The dryer is the only thing that genuinely kills a pair — about six cycles and the elastane in the cuff gives up. Line dry flat and they keep their shape for years.
Two metres of the exact yarn the pair was knitted in, wound on a stiff card with a blunt needle slotted through it — enough for three heels. If you would rather not, post the pair back and we will darn it once for nothing.
On the date printed on its card, which is a machine booking rather than a guess. Fòrum Fair-Isle is back on 14 March. If a date slips because a dye lot is late, everyone who asked hears about it before the website changes.
Carrer dels Ferrers 14, second floor, Thursday to Saturday between 11:00 and 19:00. Ring the middle bell. There is a seconds bin by the door at €6 a pair, cash only, and on Sundays we are on the stall at Plaça del Fòrum from nine until two.
Tell us your shoe size and what you are going to wear them with. One of two people answers, usually the same morning, and nobody will try to sell you a second pair.
The current run is in the drawer at the workshop and on the page below, with the stock count written out in words next to every price.
